Nimol is currently studying law at Build Bright University. He has offered to volunteer as a teacher for our students in his spare time. He brings two years of English teaching experience with him, and has also worked for a commune office for three years. Needless to say, he loves working with the kids and really wants to see them flourish through a better education. His dream is to discontinue poverty throughout the next generation. He especially loves teaching in Roluos because he admires the Bakong District, which is home to so many ancient temples that were built even before Angkor Wat.
Theary is a full-time professional English teacher at secondary school. She graduated with a Bachelors in English Literature in 2016, and achieved an official teacher training certificate in 2010. She volunteers her evenings to teach our kids in Roluos and really wants to help those around her develop their skills and use the available resources to create a better standard of living. She sees the temples and natural resources in her surrounding area and hopes that the children will be able to make use of these resources and communicate their skills to the growing tourism industry in Siem Reap.
Kim manages the front desk at a hotel by day and volunteers as an English teacher by night. After completing high school, he taught English in Savong Free School before working as a translator for Angkor E-Tuk. A friend told him about Roots Cambodia and he quickly reached out and offered his time and expertise. He now spends his evenings after work making the world a better place. He enjoys teaching because he loves sharing his knowledge to help those who need it most.
